After 50+ years of collecting straight razors, Robert A. Doyle will be offering at auction his lifetime collection of fancy and unusual straight razors. Doyle, an Auctioneer/Appraiser/Real Estate Broker, started collecting at 16 years of age and has just turned sixty-seven. When asked why straight razors? Doyle responded, "They are small, beautiful, historic, one-of-a-kind artistic pieces that are nearly impossible to reproduce. There are no 'fakes' to be concerned with." He continued, "It is time to allow others the opportunity to own and enjoy these beautiful shaving tools. The straight razor was the most prized personal tool of men through the ages." Items located in Pleasant Valley, NY.

A matched pair of Presentation Sterling Silver handled Straight Razors by ROBT KLAUS from PRUSSIA!  Both are beautifully engraved and have different dates of the same year. “Dec 25th” (Christmas) and “Sept 5th.” My guess is that these were a Christmas gift with the person’s Birthday being September 5th.
