Fastracs was founded over 30 years ago by Leigh Cookingham, a third generation construction engineer. Fastracs was known for building ponds, dams, substations, athletic fields, riding arenas, polo fields, and many estates stretching up and down the Hudson Valley. Farm constructions included Coole Park Farm, Millbrook and Enterprise Farm, Rhinebeck. Fastracs was also responsible for Trinity Pauling School’s state of the art athletic fields, including drainage and prep for tennis courts, hockey arena, the field track, the baseball field, and the football field. Fastracs was the only company on site after hurricane Irene to help and successfully rebuild and divert streams opening roads and areas at Wyndam and Hunter Mountains.
Leigh took great pride in working with his men and respected his equipment. If a job required certain equipment Leigh would establish a sea of equipment to accomplish the job. The equipment at Fastracs was not just seen as “yellow iron” they were tools to create the artistic vision of Leigh and his team. All of the machines were maintained and serviced with respect to ensure the machines completed the job at hand to full capacity and to full throttle.
