Emile Walters framed oil on board landscape scene of mountains with sun, titled “Autumn Haze”, signed lower left “Emile Walters, FRSA”, 23.75” x 10.5”. Bio from AskArt: Emile Walters (1893 - 1977) a landscape painter, known for winter scenes, particularly enjoyed the scenery of central Pennsylvania. He later specialized in views of Iceland (where he lived for a time), Greenland, and the Arctic regions. Walters is widely represented in museums throughout the world. Born in Winnipeg, Ontario, Canada, Walters moved to the United States in 1898. Walters was a painting instructor for summer sessions at The Pennsylvania State University from 1922 to 1934, where he taught Hobson Pittman. Walters resided in Poughkeepsie, NY later in his life.
